About the author of this blog

This blog covers the thoughts of Dr Alison Fox, an educational researcher interested in developing support for researchers in thinking through the ethical dimensions of social science research. This has involved developing an ethical appraisal framework based on a paper published in the Cambridge Journal of Education (Stutchbury and Fox, 2009) with colleagues and students at the Universities of Cambridge, Leicester and the Open University, leading to a MOOC People Studying People: Research Ethics in Society and a website of resources.

Most recently I have been part of the working group reviewing and developing the British Educational Research Association’s ethical guidelines, due for release in 2018.

The views on this blog are my own and not those endorsed by any of the Universities I have or am working for, or the views of the working group of the BERA ethical guidelines.
